Process for arranging placements: -
1 - Agree duration and possible dates of placement with your employing manager before you book your placement weeks on the Eventbrite system
2 - Check placement availability on the Eventbrite placement booking page and reserve your placement weeks for your agreed dates at the correct hospital (see previous page). Click here to book your placement:
3- Commence the honorary contract application process immediately as this will take time to process and this must be in place prior to your starting the placement.
To initiate this process:
Complete the online applicationform as soon as you receive it from Bristol NHS Trust HR Department
Check e-mails regularly and provide all information/documentation required upon request
4 - Inform the Matron and Education lead (contact details below) at both the placement unit and your own unit when your Honorary Contract application process has started, and again when your application is confirmed.
5 - Keep track of your application by communicating regularly with the placement hospital HR department (contact details below) to ensure your contract is processed in time for the start of your placement.
6 - Contact the education team within the placement unit in plenty of time to ensure that you receive all preparatory information and off duty in advance of your placement starting.
