South West Neonatal Network Simulation Train the Trainer Course
5th & 6th February 2026
We are delighted to be offering places across the region for this Simulation Train the Trainer course on 5th and 6th February 2026. This is hosted by the RDUH simulation team and will take place at the Research, Innovation, Learning and Development (RILD) building in Exeter.
Training is open to Medics, Nurses and ANNPs, in order to support the continued development of high-quality, multidisciplinary simulation within neonatal services—enhancing both team performance and patient safety.
The two-day course will cover:
The three D’s of Simulation: Design, Delivery & Debrief Skills
Adult learning and applying this to healthcare simulation
Managing logistics and technology
Group scenario development
Introduction to Human Factors/Ergonomics in Healthcare
Group application & feedback from faculty
Q&A session with expert facilitators
The course is highly interactive, with opportunities to observe, participate in, and lead simulation sessions in a supportive setting. Whether you're new to simulation or looking to refine your approach, this course is designed to meet you where you are.
