FINE level 2 ‘Practical Skills for Infant and Family-Centred Developmental Care’ Bursary opportunity

The South West Neonatal Network is delighted to offer 10 fully funded places for colleagues wishing to undertake the FINE 2 Practical Skills Course, designed to strengthen competence and leadership in Infant and Family-Centred Developmental Care (IFCDC).

FINE 2 builds on the FINE Level 1 Foundation Course, translating theory into confident, reflective practice. Over six months, participants complete ten topics through a mix of online tutorials, structured assignments with behavioural observations, reflective practice and mentoring from experienced practitioners with advanced training. 

Eligible colleagues working in neonatal units are invited to apply.

Suitable for:
• Medical staff
• Nurses
• Allied health professionals

Requirements:
• Affiliated with a neonatal unit
• Applicants must have completed FINE 1 within the last 5 years and have a minimum of 6 months’ consolidation following completion.
• Able to complete the course within the 6-month time frame with an estimated 65 hours of learning/practice
• Line manager support, with potential release for 6–12 hours per month of study time

Drop in meetings:

A drop-in meeting will be held on 8 January, 1–2 pm, for anyone wishing to find out more about the course. A mentor from the FINE team and a member of the South West Neonatal Network will be available to answer questions about the course and bursary offer.
