Caring for Your Neonatal Baby
As parents, you are the most important people to your baby. The neonatal staff will support and work alongside you to develop your confidence in providing the care that your baby needs while on the neonatal unit. There are lots of ways that you can help to minimise the stress of the neonatal environment for you and your baby. This will have a positive impact on their long term development as well as begin to prepare you for life outside of the neonatal unit.
There are many websites and resources dedicated to preparing and supporting you in all aspects of caring for your baby. For more information take a look at the links opposite. If you have any questions at all please ask your neonatal team who will be able to help you.
If you are feeling over whelmed or anxious about any aspect of caring for your baby please talk to your healthcare team and take a look at the Support Pages of this website that provide links to the range of local and national support groups available to you.
