First Bus Route 1 calls outside the hospital at 15 minute intervals. Route 1 serves Yeovil east to west. Bus station is five minutes walk from the hospital along Reckleford.
Nearest Railway Station
Yeovil Pen Mill - trains from Weymouth, Dorchester, Castle Cary, Westbury, Bath and Bristol. Approximately 1.5 miles from the hospital. Bus service links to Yeovil Bus Station with a connection service to the hospital. Taxis also available.
Yeovil Junction - trains from Exeter, Crekerne, Sherborne, Salisbury and London Waterloo. Aproximately 3 miles from the hospital. Bus service links to Yeovil Bus Station with a connection service to the hospital. Taxis also available.

Pharmacy: Level 3 of the main building where all services for wards, departments, Community hospitals, external users, clinics and outpatient dispensing are based. Mon to Fri – 9am to 5.30pm,Sat – 9am to 12.30pm, Sun – 10am to 12pm
Canteen restaurant: Level 2 of the main building. Weekdays 8am to 8pm and weekends 8am to 7pm. The canteen offers a range of hot and cold food. Lunch menus change daily and include vegetarian and daily specials and a variety of sandwich and baguette choices, paninis, jacket potatoes, confectionery and hot and cold drinks.
The Coffee Shop: in main outpatients is open Monday – Friday.
The Friends Coffee Shop: is based in the A&E waiting area. Serving a selection of hot drinks, cold drinks, confectionery, sandwiches, biscuits and crisps. Open weekdays and weekends between 10am – 8pm.
Shops On Site
The Friends Shop: Main entrance on level 3. Selling hot and cold drinks, confectionery, cakes, biscuits, crisps, newspapers, magazine, stamps, gifts, cards and toiletries. Open Mon to Fri 9am – 8pm; Sat and Sun 10am – 1pm, 2pm – 4.30pm, and 6pm – 8pm.
Religious and Spiritual Support
The Chaplaincy act in partnership with local faith communities, and are happy to support those who are spiritual but not religious. The hospital chapel is on level 4 near the Academy. It is a multi-faith space, open to all from 7am to 9pm. A key can be obtained from the switchboard at night. The chapel is used regularly by patients, relatives, carers and staff. It is a place of quiet, prayer and reflection. There is a Christian act of worship every Sunday in the chapel at 11am and morning prayers on Tuesdays at 8.30am. There is a Muslim area for prayer with washing facilities next to the Kingston Wing on level 4.
Parent and Family Liaison Services
Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) provides patients, relatives, carers and service users with confidential and impartial help if they have a problem or need more information while using NHS services. The overall aim is to improve the patient experience by offering advice and support, listening and responding to concerns, suggestions or queries and helping to sort out problems quickly on your behalf. Office located on level 3 of the main building.

Interpreting Services are available if your first language is not English and you need help to communicate with staff. We can provide interpreters for most languages. There are telephone or face-to-face interpreters available as well as text translation services. If you need a face-to-face interpreter this can take up to 72 hours to arrange, so please give us as much notice as you can. Speak to a member of staff on your unit or contact PALS – details above.
