I joined the team here in Bristol in 2021, having been working in the NHS from 2008. My first role was as smoking in pregnancy lead. Following this I worked in project management and commissioning, mainly on respiratory and long term conditions, during which time I gained an MSc in Health and Social Care management. My most recent role has been as Network and Regional Contract Manager for home oxygen in the South East for 9 years, including a successful procurement of the home oxygen contract to 2030. I also oversaw and managed the roll out of a national risk mitigation form to improve patient safety, which was nominated for the National patient safety awards in 2020.

Before joining the NHS, I have had a varied career starting with a chemistry degree that was gained whilst working for ICI in their automotive paints division. This was followed by a Technical Service role in packaging and adhesives, before moving to Pharmaceutical sales and regional management in 1996.

When not at work I support my extended family, plan our next trip in “Homer the van “and my happy place is in the kitchen cooking; after all, Chemistry is only glorified cookery!
