I started at the SW Neonatal Network in April 2022. I have been a children's Occupational Therapist (OT) specialising in working with neonates for 7 years at the Royal United Hospital, Bath. I am the Lead OT for the NICU Therapy Follow up Service providing a number of MDT developmental clinics from birth up to 2 years of age. I contribute towards improvements in service development, providing regular training opportunities and have implemented ongoing OT provision within the Neonatal Unit to provide 'Early Development and Play' sessions prior to discharge. I play an active role in the Neurodevelopmental Care Working Group at the RUH and am a member of the national neonatal forum - embracing any opportunity to share information and experience that may help to enhance the provision of neonatal OT nationally.
I am so excited to have taken on this role as feel passionately about the positive impact Occupational Therapy can contribute to families and their infants along their neonatal journey. I look forward to working as part of the Network to ensure the provision of high standards of care and to develop a workforce that can provide equitable therapy provision with families across the region.
